Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Florida Department of Medicine.

The Department of Medicine invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position #00024548 to pursue a career in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.  This is a full time, 1.0 (FTE), non-tenure track position.  Primary duties include Cardiology coverage of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT/MRI services, research, and teaching at Shands/UF; and Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiology services at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MRVAMC).  Applicants must have a M.D. degree and be board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and eligible for a Florida Medical License.  The annual salary is $229,000.

Assistant/Associate Professor
The University of Florida seeks a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor for the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology.  This is a full time, 1 FTE position is based at the University of Florida with possible duties and appointment at the Department of Veterans Affairs Section of Endocrinology if qualified.  Clinical duties include managing a variety of endocrine disorders (such as diabetes, osteoporosis, and thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary diseases) at the outpatient Endocrinology clinics and on the inpatient Endocrinology consult service, development of an inpatient diabetes service, and rotation on the inpatient Internal Medicine service.  Teaching of students, interns and residents is integral to this position; participation in research is highly encouraged.
Candidates must possess a M.D. degree or equivalent, be board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology.
Recruiting deadline June 20, 2008.  Anticipated starting date: August 1, 2008.  The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment, salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology and University of Florida Cancer Center (UFSCC) invite applications for an academic position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to pursue a career in Clinical Oncology (GI, GU, Lung and Breast Cancer). This position will be a 1.00 FTE for either the tenure or non-tenure track. The ideal candidate will have an excellent reputation in clinical-translational cancer research. The individual will provide inpatient and outpatients care in the Oncology clinics at the University of Florida and attend on the oncology ward. The incumbent will also be expected to contribute to academic programs for the UFSCC and participate in the multidisciplinary working groups. Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience. Expected start date is July 1, 2008.
Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary group and co-administering care within a cancer center is desired for this position.

Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery-Chief & Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery invites applicants for an academic position at the Chief & Assitant/Associate/Full Professor tenure level to pursue a career in Dermatology with expertise and experience in clinical care, research, and teaching.  We also seek a demonstrated leader who will be able to build upon the strengths of the current Division to enhance the already well-established academic programs in Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery and to establish new oppurtunities.
 
The Division is housed within the Univ. of Florida and Shands Hospital and also provides coverage at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.  The division currently consists of three active faculty members with a fourth starting summer 2008, six residents, one fellow, two physician extenders, and two support  staff.  There are two outpatient clinical centers, the Derm Center and the Skin and Cancer Center.
 
The successful candidate will receive salary and academic rank commensurate with teh individual's training and experience.  Significant resources have been allocated for this recruitement.  The Dermatology program has an approved Mohs Fellowship.  Candidates must possess an M.D., be board certified, eligible for a Florida Medical license, and have a proven record of academic productivity.  This is a full time, tenure-accuring faculty appointment.

The Department of Medicine invites applicants for an academic position as an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, tenure or non-tenure accruing position. This position requires a clinical or research focus in the area of esophageal diseases, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, or related areas. Primary duties include a weekly outpatient clinic focusing on esophageal motility, reading motility reports in the GI Lab, performing general endoscopic procedures, and GI inpatient and consult services at Shands UF and Shands AGH in Gainesville, FL. Additionally, this position will grow the clinical or basic research component of the Motility Center at UF and train GI fellows, residents, and medical students in gastroenterology, interpretation of motility studies, and general endoscopic procedures.
 
Applicants must have an MD degree and have completed a postdoctoral fellowship training program in gastroenterology. Applicants must be board certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology and eligible for a Florida Medical License.

Clinical Associate Professor
The University of Florida is seeking nominations and applications for academic physician appointment in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will be hired at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor level, non-tenure accuring track. The Division enjoys a strong national reputation for teaching, research, and patient care with a US and a World News Report ranking of number 20.
We are seeking an individual with a national reputation in Pulmonary and Critical Care with expertise and experience in clinical care, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated research interest either by current extramural funding or current research publications. Clinical inpatient and outpatient duties will be conducted at Shands Hospital. Inpatient duties include 2 week rotations on the MICU, IMC, Consult, or PFT services. Clinical instruction with fellows, residents, and medical students are required.
The successful candidate will receive salary commensurate with the individual's training and experience.

CLIN AST/ASO PROF
The Department of Medicine, division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking a assistant/associate professor for the Echocardiography section. This position is tenure or non-tenure track. Responsibilities will include inpatient attending on the Heart station and the consult medical Cardiology Teaching service, weekly outpatient clinic at Cardiology West and coverage of TEE call.
