I am delighted to announce that Dr. Aida Vega will assume the position of Interim Chief of the Division of Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine effective April 9, 2007.  Dr. Vega is currently Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief of the Division of Internal Medicine.  She is also the Medical Director of the Tower Hill Internal Medicine Clinic and Chair of the Medical Director's Committee of the Faculty Group Practice.  She is a consummate clinician, educator, and leader.  She will be replacing Dr. Rebecca Pauly who will assuming the position of Associate Vice President for Equity and Diversity in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs  Please join me in welcoming Dr. Aida to her new position.
